How to make a donation?

Go to the fundraising page of the runner you wish to support and click on the DONATE button.

The fundraising pages of all runners are available from the search bar on the participating organisations' page. Simply enter the name and/or surname of the person to find them.

Race for Gift uses a 100% secure payment terminal which ensures the protection of your personal data. The payment methods offered by the platform are Visa, Mastercard, Postcard

 

what is a collection page?

It is a web page accessible from any terminal (computer, tablet, smartphone) created on this website by an individual to support a charity. It includes a personal message explaining their motivation to raise funds for the organisation, the fundraising goal they wish to reach, a description of the beneficiary organisation, photos, a counter indicating the amount reached, the list of donations received, as well as the possibility to share the page on different social media.

how DO I CREATE A FUNDRAISING PAGE?

Select the organisation you wish to support and register for the 5km walk, 5km run or 10km run and pay the registration fee. An email will then be sent to you with a link to automatically create your personal fundraising page. Instructions will then guide you in customising and sharing your page.

MY EMAIL ADDRESS ALREADY EXISTS AND I AM NOT REGISTERED

Your email address has been automatically registered after an attempt to register. To register and create your collection page, simply log into your account. If you are unable to log in, click on the "Log in" button at the top of this page and then on the "Forgot your password" link. You will then receive an email with a link to choose a new password.

WHY DO I NEED TO RAisE DONATIONS?

The Race for Gift is a double challenge of solidarity and sport, the aim of which is to support the partner organisations. By registering, you are not only committing to run or walk, you are committing to support an organisation to help it continue its actions. To help them, you will have a personal fundraising page after your registration that is entirely secure to present your motivations and/or your personal challenge!

HOW WILL I BE ABLE TO RAISE donations?

Race for Gift provides you with a personal fundraising page to collect funds directly online. A simple and secure fundraising tool that allows you to collect online donations directly from your friends and family by sharing your page via Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, LinkedIn or by QR code.

Once you have registered, your collection page is created automatically. All you have to do is personalise it from your user space ("Login" button at the top of the collection page) and share it with as many people as possible to get many donations!

HOW TO MOBILISE DONORS?

To make your collection a success in terms of generosity, we invite you to :

  1. Personalise your page with your photo and tell the story of your commitment and your motivations.
  2. Set an example by making the first donation.
  3. Start your collection by inviting your family and close friends to support you.
  4. After collecting your first donations, invite your friends and colleagues to support you.
  5. After a few days, distribute a first report on your collection and ask for donations to reach your goal.
  6. Thank your donors personally and publicly on your fundraising page, your Facebook, your Instagram, your LinkedIn or your Twitter.

HOW DO THE FUNDS COLLECTED GET TRANSFERRED TO THE ORGANISATION?

The donations collected from your fundraising page are automatically and fully transferred to the organisation you have chosen. Thanks to our banking partner, the transactions are completely secure.

DO DONATIONS COLLECTED ON MY PAGE QUALIFY FOR A DONATION RECEIPT?

Donations made to the charity on your personal page are similar to those made directly on the charity's website. They are therefore eligible for a tax deduction under the same conditions: https://zewo.ch/en/

ARE THE TRANSACTIONS SECURE?

The security of transactions made by donors is at the heart of our concerns, and donations from personal pages are 100% secure.

Bank details are entered directly on the secure site of our banking partner. The organisation only receives a transaction confirmation, which does not contain the donors' bank details.


WHAT HAPPENS IF MY GOAL IS NOT REACHED?

It is not always easy to ask for donations from your family and friends. To help you reach your fundraising goal, we invite you to download our Fundraising Guide (in French) to discover some tips.

When you register for the Solidarity Run for a participating organisation, you commit to collecting a minimum of donations. Your collection, as well as that of all the other registrants, is essential for the realisation of the projects of the participating organisation that you have chosen to support.

Whatever the amount collected, all the donations received on your personal collection page will be given to the organisation to contribute to its missions.
