RULES

WHERE?

The route for the walk and the run will begin from the Rotonde du Mont-Blanc in the centre of Geneva. It will trace a loop along the banks of Lake Geneva before heading back to the finish at the Rotonde.

WHEN?

Sunday 26 May 2019, in the morning. The village will open and runners will be able to pick up their race numbers at 8 AM. The races will kick off at 9:30 AM.

RACE NUMBER PICK-UP

Before they can pick up their race numbers (featuring the colours of the organisation they have pledged to support), each runner needs to have hit their fundraising target of CHF 300 by midnight on the Saturday before the race (Saturday 25 May 2019). Each runner will then be able to pick up their number from the stand of the organisation for which they have registered. They will need to show some ID. Safety pins will be provided.

PROGRAM OF THE DAY

  • 8.00 am : Village opening for runners and walkers
  • 8.00 - 9.00 am : Distribution of bibs on the stands of organizations
  • 9.00 am : Welcome and welcome speech
  • 9.15 am : Warming up
  • 9.30 am : Departure of the 10 km race
  • 10.00 am : First arrivals
  • 10.15 am : Departure of the 5 km walk
  • 10.45 am : Departure of the 5 km race
  • 11.30 am : Group stretches
  • 11.45 am : Award ceremony 
  • 1.30 pm : Closure of the Village to the public

RACE FOR GIFT CHALLENGES

The award ceremony will take place at 11.45 am on Race for Gift village, at the Mont Blanc Rotunda, Quai du Mont-Blanc. Will be rewarded with a trophy:

  1. The first male 10 km runner,
  2. The first female 10 km runner,
  3. The first male 5 km runner,
  4. The first female 5 km runner,
  5. The runner who raises the highest total (must be present on race day),
  6. The family which raises the highest total (must be present on race day),
  7. The guide team which raises the highest total (must be present on race day),
  8. The company team which raises the highest total (must be present on race day),
  9. The company team which will win the 10km Companies Challenge (the ranking is established with the aggregated times of the three best riders of each company),
  10. The organisation which raises the highest total,
  11. The organisation which gets the most runners.
